Went to vote in Temple, TX this morning. I've always been in US-31 (John Carter out of Round Rock) and had planned to have a say in that election. I have seen nothing but Carter/Sham wow guy/Valentina/Garapati signs all over Belton and Temple

When I got my ballot this morning, my choice was for Pete Sessions for US-17 out of Waco. I was confused and took it to the election judge and said I was redistricted.

Fairly inconsequential as all my other Bell County votes were as they should be.

I went and looked it up after and none of the redistricting maps or Texas.gov or Congress.gov show me in US-17

After I posted this, I remembered that my son's girlfriend's mom is a staffer in Austin. Texted her and she said that this map got approved last minute.

In the primaries I always print and highlight my ballot before the election to see who is on it, because the same thing happens to my area - it's changed, and since I don't pay attention, I always would be unaware until I was in the voting booth. Of course, in the general I don't do anything except study the amendments - I just vote for anything that has an R by it, so I don't care if it's been redistricted.
