This is an interesting development. I wonder if russia will let them or attempt to intervene (not that they have the capability to do anything about it)

This news comes along with the France announcement. It appears to me that some euros are accepting that the world is changing and a nation must take their defense into their own hands

If anyone needs nuke deterrence, it's Poland. They have alternately been overrun from the East and West for centuries.

It's not just Poland. Baltic countries are also wanting them.

Realistically it's not a bad idea, and gives these countries deterrence against Russia without needing to rely on us or NATO.

No different than France having them...probably an improvement over status quo.

Obama Left them hanging to appease Russia. The US should have put nukes there at that time. Probably would have avoided all the Russia expansion over the last 20 years. Strategic location for us.

If we take care of the radical Islam problem then secure nuclear proliferation may make the world more peaceful. Like allowing citizens to conceal carry.

I don't see why France needs more nukes, unless the old ones are becoming unreliable. There is no European power right now that can successfully invade France. The Russians probably wouldn't have made it much past the French/German border at their peak strength in the cold war. They wouldn't make it into Germany today. The only thing they could use nukes for is to deter a Russian ballistic missile strike on Paris, but France already has that deterrent (allegedly).

Why doesn't France just give theirs to Poland?


France is either going to surrender or eventually let their govt be overrun by Muslims anyway
