I think the Hunt votes go to Cornyn. Hunt was the choice for people who are tired of Cornyn but couldnt hold their noses enough to vote for Paxton.

I don't think he resonates with the Dem base as a wishy washy religious, white, male. He will write books and give speeches but I doubt he ever sniffs a Presidential run.

Crockett is crazy, but she would have motivated the Dem base more and generated more attention/money for other races elsewhere. Dem voters want an attack dog and not Mister Rogers.

At least Beto had appeal to young voters. This guy has none of that. Wishy washy soccer moms in Texas have hated Trump for a decade, but that hasn't been enough to win a Senate seat.

I think Cornyn takes the runoff and wins comfortably like Cruz against Allred.

This is something I wish I saw more of across the board. If you don't like someone, even if they are connected to you in some way, call them out on it.

"Well they're the [IDENTITY] candidate so I have to vote for them" is a stupid way to vote.

So how many more weeks of constant tv ads are we gonna have to watch?

Here in the San Antonio TV market I expect to see scads of Brisket/Paxton and Gonzales/Herrera spots. Will wonder if Temu Beto will continue with his lollypop messages about opposing billionaires, free beer, and evil Republican sunshine. And Orange Man Bad stuff. Will miss Ghetto Barbie and her preschool audience messages.
