It is an easy out to just simplistically and universally lump all of politicians together then just declare them an unsolvable problem, and complain while claiming no personal responsibility because a vast conspiracy makes you powerless. You assert moral superiority but also no responsibility for exerting little to no effort to try to solve problems. It's pretty weak, really.
The reality is that every problem and circumstance is complex, multifaceted, and unique, including politicsl ones, and they need to be understood at a sophisticated and informed level and thoughtfully approached, and that takes time and effort relatively few are willing to allocate, or really can afford to allocate. That's the price of representative government: you have to pick someone who can best represent your view from
Often mediocre choices that can prevail, and then trust them to adequately do so while you are busy with other things. It isn't great, but it's better than being subject to various forms of totalitarianism

My first comment considered, the solution is to be active in local politics, and get and back good people to run for office, and help them have influence and get votes in primaries and get local support. This takes some work, but with a little effort, it is very possible to overwhelm a primary election with a reform movement
Meh, GOP does not have a good track record with smoking hot politicians and cabinet members in recent years.

While I 100% agree with your sentiment, how would you feel and react if your job was on the line because of the actions of Republican Senators?
While Luna is probably safe this year, her district isn't exactly deep crimson red.
I agree, there are a lot of dynamics at play right now. Sometimes I think it is a calculation if having the ongoing problem is more politically useful than a mediocre compromise solution.
Senate Republicans are incredibly useless and weak. How they can't move the SAVE Act through is beyond me.

K. Generic statement that both parties are bad not calling out any individuals or having a real plan to fix it other than "stop voting for bad people". Can't be "stop voting for incumbents" unless she is planning to get out herself so I'm guessing she considers herself exempt. I remember MTG had a lot of the same stuff as did Boebert and both of them completely went off the deep end. Luna is likely not far behind.

They want even pretend to fight! It looks like they are ok just throwing away control of the senate. They only play their part best when they are not in charge!
She is the same person that held up a bill or a confirmation vote to try to get the ability to vote in absentia for maternity leave. Not necessarily a total deal breaker but it does give me pause about what is really important to her.

The only way to get the SAVE Act passed is to break the filibuster. And that will lead to future problems as serious or even more serious than what the SAVE Act will solve.
