"Trump's EO directs federal agencies to potentially restrict funding for schools violating new, tighter rules on player transfers (limited to one) and eligibility (maximum five years), while curbing pay-for-play booster collectives and protecting women's and Olympic sports funding."

I grew up watching Aggie football. My great uncle snuck me into a game when I was maybe 12. ETA - I had gone with my family before, but "sneaking in" - priceless. My mother and father were Aggies and fans their entire lives. (well this was before women were admitted, so my mom never attended, obviously). My brothers (2 out of 3) are Aggies too.

Between the political crap, the players not even pretending to be students (I tutored for the football team - some players WERE students), the portal, and unlimited eligibility...I am not an Aggie football fan any more longer.

Here's to hoping this means a real change. I suspect this will have to go to the Supreme Court before we know.
