Houston calls Good Friday "spring holiday" and weekend "spring holiday weekend" in saying why offices are closed yesterday. which is so incredibly stupid. Good Friday is the state holiday. Beyond lame attempt at "inclusion". The city wisely took it down.


But the comparisons to other holiday well-wishing is misplaced, because city does wish a Happy Easter on that day. It's fake news to say the city is afraid to say "Happy Easter"

I think part of the reason is they want to pander to the Muslims because they perceive everyone is being islamaphobic when it's really the other way around. Islam is the one coming in here putting down our entire way of life. Not wanting to assimilate.

They truly think Christians are evil. So that's their justification. And of course now they're on their anti-Jew rant, which is interesting because many of them are Jewish. It's a serious disconnect.

I think the difference is the city taking a day off for one and not the other. If they come out and say it's for Good Friday, they're going to have people coming out of the woodwork asking for city religious holidays.

Yep Christianity is under attack in Houston. That's why it was so difficult to find a place to buy groceries or eat yesterday if you hadn't planned beforehand because of all the businesses being closed. Probably the least observed holiday next to Christmas.
