I think this is a great thing to have at Texas A&M. I think that Mike Pence is a great choice as a Keynote speaker. I do not want him as a leader, did not, would not vote, for him, but would totally listen to him.

Someone on this board will say I am trolling, but I honestly don't understand how this could be bad for anyone of us to attend.

The only problem is this symposium has a good chance of turning into a one sided anti-Trump fest.

A real symposium would allow every point of view from all sides. Sadly, we rarely see that kind of discussion and debate anymore

No masks
No chalk
No graffiti
No pre-stacked bricks
No distribution of frozen water bottles
No paid protestors
No pre-paid bail fundraisers that are actually used to subsidize a local political chapter
No fake outrage over falsified claims of hate crimes
No reneging on reward offer
No student athletes on scholarship threatening the elderly

I'll be willing to listen to lectures on 'civil discourse' when one of the parties involved stops trying to burn down our cities, assaulting LEO's, finding ways to break our government systems, and trying to force their mental sickness on our children.

I lost my last remnant of hope for civil discourse after Charlie Kirk's death. Not because a deranged lunatic shot him. But the vitriol, hatred, and glee spouted by the majority of people on the left especially progressives in reaction shifted my paradigm.

I truly no longer care about progressives opinions or their holier than thou approach. They truly think we are demons and nazis and their moral superiority gives them the green light to treat conservatives according to their delusional labels.
