Inmates all over the country have access to tablets now. It's not just a California thing.

I was under the impression though that these were specifically designed for prison use- so locked down software, no app installs other than prison approved, and very close monitoring.

Didn't know they were just handing them run of the mill iPads. If that's the case how stupid can you be.

Locking down electronic devices is a fools errand. Whether it's 6th graders with school iPads, corporate placard wearers and the new age blackberries, or prisoners and their personal spank screens, when there is a will to access something you should not, the quest for pron finds a path.

I once issued iPhones to our sales agents which were mostly over 60 grannies. Spent time and money locking them down as best I could. Within a couple weeks those hag hackers had figured out how to get around the controls.

Follow the money and you'll find plenty of businesses, on the left and right, making money have over first thanks to for profit prisons.

Bread, water, concrete floor with four walls is all prisoners need. Anything more and a private company is making more money off of it than is needed.

Anyone notice there's a reason why politicians all love them private for profit prisons? Go check their bank accounts to see why.

Sadly, yes. The fact that anyone would vote for Kamala Harris is staggering. Again, we're not talking about bright people.

They were beaten badly in 2024. Let's hope that holds.

I sure would hope they never get in power again. Or at least in my lifetime, which I hope is about 20 to 30 years.
