The person doing the swating, could be using a burner phone with VPN to mask their location. Happens all the time in the gaming world. Especially with guys and gals who are famous on twitch.

Either the call is coming from overseas (usually India) or you've got someone in the US with enough skill to hide their location.

Listen to the 45 seconds or so of the call that was shared in the Tweet.

They knew whose house it was and there was 24/7 on-site security so basically, they just checked with the on-site security when they arrived. They didn't go in guns blazing.

At least that's what it sounds like from the call.

Also in the call is the fact that they tried to call back the person who called it in and the caller did not respond. So, I guess this happens frequently enough that law enforcement has figured out some protocols for responding to it.
