The American economy would have never experienced the financial crisis of 2008 had DC politicians kept their noses out of the market.

The desire to make home ownership as prevalent for some demographics that had really bad credit as it was for other demographics that had less bad credit resulted in very severe unintended consequences. DC chose to ignore basic economics in order to try and force more black home owners. The result was ugly. Very, very ugly.

Alan was behind the subprime loan fiasco, decades of championing financial deregulation and his low interest rate policies created an environment where risky lending and complex mortgage-backed securities could flourish. Sorry to say, some people should never own a home. It's not for everyone and going into the 2000s Bush and company created a mess in the financial sector.

Millions of people were screwed over by this man. Defiantly wouldn't want to be him come judgment day.
