How long do you want to ignore this user?
AG
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this type of question. My daughter has signed a lease in the Reserves. Long story, with a bit of drama, but now she wants to move. Finding someone to sublease quickly is important, but we want to try to find someone her roommates approve of instead of just putting whoever in there as the management has the right to do. Are there resources/places to seek out roommates that might be helpful to them?

TIA!

How can apartment management dictate who she rooms with?

Good luck finding someone to sublease. It was always a challenge when I was in school to find someone who would take over an entire lease and not just one semester.

She actually is the one who wants to move out. There are 4 units in each building and your lease states that if you don't sign for all 4, management can lease to someone for the empty room. Definitely different than when I was there.

I know I have seen people in search of room-mates and/or rooms on the class year twitter accounts. They are public, so there is that, but it is slightly less so, etc. than Craigslist. I will ask around and if I find out anything, post here.

TAMU has the Division of Student Affairs that houses an office for off-campus housing issues. I think they are called AGOSS? If your student hasn't talked to them yet, that is one option. Their offices have moved near/to Whitecreek (one of the newer dorms) on campus. I think they have a variety of resources.
*correction, Student Affairs not Student Services
