My company is looking for a sales person for the Denver/Rockies area and currently haven't found any good candidates. I will have a more complete description up in the next day or so.

For now I know they are looking for...

1. Around 5 years sales experience (people that haven't picked up too many bad habits)
2. Technically oriented
3. O&G experience a huge plus

Compensation - My understanding is that the position is salaried.
Product - The product is an O&G Upstream management software.
Expectations - The individual would be tasked with gaining new contracts from potential clients in Denver and other areas of the Rockies. Would be required to learn our product extensively (may require some time in Midland/Houston) in order to effectively demo the software to potential clients.

Role: the responsibility of the Regional Account Manager is to prospect, qualify and close enterprise software sales by building strong customer relationships and by using solution selling strategies. Working closely with the company sales executives and product experts, the Account Manager will prospect for new customers, develop targeted sales strategies and sales plans and then lead the execution of those plans. Account Managers will primarily be responsible for new customer sales within predefined geographies.

Openings: Enertia is seeking two Account Managers based as follows:
• Houston to lead Texas and Gulf Coast area sales
• Denver to lead Rocky Mountain area sales

Experience: Enertia is seeking individuals with the following qualifications:
1. Demonstrated success in the initiation, development and execution of customer facing, revenue producing business initiatives
2. 5 years of experience in one of the following areas:
a. enterprise solution sales, either in primary or backup roles roles with demonstrated success;
b. business development and strategic partnership roles in related enterprise solution sales;
c. business development, solution design and delivery of consulting solutions in the energy industry;
d. associate level experience in investment banking, venture or private equity serving the energy or related technology sectors.
3. Direct experience in the upstream petroleum industry is not a requirement but is desirable. As a minimum, relevant experience in ERP, financial, operations solutions in related verticals is critical however. Related verticals include the broader energy industry, manufacturing, supply chain and other asset intensive industries.
4. Bachelor’s degree required. Masters degree optional.

Compensation: Remuneration is industry competitive, comprised of base salary plus commissions based upon new customer sales performance.

Fixing to sign paperwork on our Denver office but still no sales guy. Anyone else interested?

Based on my discussions with someone in our sales & marketing dept, I believe the position will be primarily following up on leads generated via referral or trade shows/conventions, performing demos for potential clients and other general sales duties.
