I work for a software company with offices in Houston, Dallas, Midland & Denver that caters to Oil and Gas E&P companies. We are looking to add 4-6 people to our Support/Business Analyst team immediately and plan to add a total of 10-12 this year. The preference at the moment is to place these individuals in Houston or Denver but if you are a good candidate any location can be open. I have worked for this company for a little over 3 years now. Since then I have recruited 4 Ags via Texags that were hired and I would like to add more.

Enertia Software

The support team wears many hats. There are aspects of customer support, software implementation, training, QA, project development & implementation, consulting, etc... There will be some travel required in this position. The level of travel will depend on the individual and where they fit into the team.

At a minimum we are looking for 2 individuals each with O&G Accounting (AP, JIB, Fixed Assets, DD&A, etc...) and O&G Revenue experience. You must have...
- 5+ years experience in one of these areas
- Accounting degree or equivalent preferred
- Basic understanding of databases and a general ability to learn/explain software functionality

To be successful in this role you must be able to multitask, communicate well, work well in a team oriented environment, be a self starter and show initiative.

I am waiting on the official job posting to provide you with additional info. Until them I will do my best to answer any questions you have. If you have any questions please feel free to post them here, PM or email (username at gmail). If you think you are a qualified candidate send your resume to my email and I will forward them along.

You mean $$$?
Don't know any. If we have a range it is entirely in the owner's head. My understanding is that in the past they have evaluated each candidate independently and determine if they feel your expectations are in line with your level of experience/fit.

Couple other things to add...
- experience with our software is not at all required but is a huge plus
- experience working with another software company or in a similar support/implementation/BA type role is another huge plus

Another little perk of note... we have a very casual environment. Business casual when at a client site or when they are in our office. The rest of the time I wear shorts in the summer and jeans in the winter.

Oh and did I mention the beer fridge???

I'm interested but would have to commute from BCS area, I'm not sure the travel time would be worth it.

Yeah I'm thinking that a commute from BCS would get old fast. Even with your best case scenario (we move to Katy later this year) you are still looking at over an hour each direction.

1st interview emails should be going out this week for the resumes that our Acct/Rev group liked. Waiting to receive 1-2 resumes from users that contacted me. Would love to get more to add to the pool so keep them coming.

I'm currently located in Waco,TX. I have about 4-5 years experience in public accounting. Mostly tax, and now auditing.

I have a BBA and MS in accounting. Currently, I'm doing audits for a CPA firm in Waco as a temp. I could be hired on full time. So far I like it, but being a temp, I gotta starting looking for a place to land if I don't get hired on full time.

Would it even be worth sending a resume to you? I don't have any O&G experience. I've never done anything but public accounting.

General impression that I have been given is that they strongly prefer people with O&G experience of some kind because there are several nuances of O&G accounting that they would prefer a candidate already know.
