My wife and I moved to BCS in the summer of '24. She's currently a school teacher but is looking to transition into a new career. She has a degree in communication from Texas A&M and is interested in remote opportunities in communication or talent acquisition, as well as roles in the BCS area. Any advice or job leads would be greatly appreciated! Thanks and Gig 'Em!

Contact information? Would be interested to hear more about what she might be looking for, general hours, etc.?

We're in a similar situation. My wife has stayed home with our kids, but they'll both be in school next year so she's going back to work and kind of dreading the idea of teaching again.

My wife has a Master's degree and was a teacher for 8 years. She stays home with the kids now and used to sub occasionally, but she said she'll never go back to the classroom. I've been hinting around about her trying to find something, even part time, but no luck yet.

My wife is totally fine with working, just doesn't want to teach but not sure what other options she'll have in BCS

Contact information? I'm in the process of looking to fill a position that might allow for some flexibility on scheduling. It likely won't be equivalent pay to a school teacher, initially, but I think there's some opportunity if it's a good, long-term fit. Local here to BCS.

former educator as well, left the classroom after the end of the 2022-2023 school year, I work for TAMU

most of the HR groups on campus have talent acquisition specialists

would not be 100% remote, but the benefits are amazing and retirement is TRS

She should look at staff positions at A&M. I left teaching last year, and now work for a university as a testing center manager. Of course my skills as a teacher were transferable - and, as mentioned, same retirement for me here in TN.

I'd highly recommend to have her apply for staff positions at A&M.
I know a lot about a little, and a little about a lot.
