Howdy Ags! I've been looking to transition into a sales career. I spent most of my 1st decade out of college playing professional golf but recently made the decision to move onto something different. I've applied to quite a few and haven't had much luck finding a good fit for me. If anybody has any advice or leads for me I would really appreciate it. Thanks and Gig 'em!

Located in Houston. I've been most interested in O&G or construction on the industrial side. With no really experience I'm pretty open to anything

O&G is going to be tough right now. Not sure it's a time I'd want to jump into it if I wasn't already in it. Lots of layoffs going around, likely more to come. So take that for what it's worth.

OP, I won't even telephone you. Send me that email with the resume attached. I'll commit my communications in writing.

If you want to transition into sales... that resume better have some numbers on it. And by numbers I'm talking about #, $, and % illustrated examples of your sales acumen.

Have a good day.

Look at Inside Sales positions for any of the building materials distributors. Build a reputation with customers over 1-2 years and then shift into Outside Sales.

You should look for sales jobs in the golfing industry. Sell products you like. It's important.

That's rich.

Clearly you've those 10 stars from people who don't dislike recruiters.

I'll stick to getting them interviews. You stick to getting them the job.

Have a great Sunday.

I applied but I'd love a chance to be able to talk about what you may be looking for. I believe I would be great in an estimating role but may not have the experience company's are looking for. My email is gsyates14 at gmail
