Looking in to making a career change. I graduated with my Bachelors in Biology and taught HS science for 9 years before going in to various sales roles. I'm not sure why I never thought of medical device sales as an avenue for me, but I am really thinking that may be my next step. Anyone on here able to give me advice and or direction for applying and or what to expect? I'm honestly looking for something that has a decent base salary plus commission so I can have something consistent with an upside.

Any help is appreciated

My wife went through a school called Arrhythmia Technology Institute in SC and went straight into cardiac EP sales for a J&J company. The school was kind of expensive and is 6-8 months, but at the time is was basically 100% job into clinical/sales roles in with EP device companies. I think an EP in Houston has since set up a school there, but I'm not sure.

Not the fastest or most direct route, but the field is growing and ATI was basically a guarantee into high paying roles in the industry several years ago. Some less technical med device sales companies are a little easier to break into, or so I'm told. Wife's company primarily recruits out of specialty programs like ATI and undergrad biomed engineering programs now.
