How long do you want to ignore this user?
Seeking a residential construction superintendent position / senior project manager position in the New Braunfels, Bulverde, San Antonio wide area. Moved to the area this past year to help extended family with some changes in their life. I took a position with a custom builder however this company is not exactly how they presented themselves and I am looking to part ways.

Previous experience includes 6.5 years (with one company) in residential homebuilding as a superintendent and senior construction manager. 20 years in management. Have also worked with the St. Jude Dream Home teams for home giveaways. I have looked on Indeed and LinkedIn but the listings are sparse. Does anyone have a lead for a position to send my resume or feedback on who to avoid around this area? Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you!

I don't have any leads, but you have me super curious about who you worked for. I was in the same realm and had the same situation (different position) happen to me last year and got laid off. I can ask around but I know it's slow with everyone in custom home building.

We built west of NB about 2-3 years ago. We didn't have a great experience so won't recommend our builder, however it seems Dogwood and Red Oak are smaller builders that seem to have a good reputation. G. Morris is an Aggie-owned builder that is a little bigger in Bulverde, but we couldn't negotiate a post- COVID price that I thought was reasonable. They had a lot of CA clients paying top dollar, it seemed. T.A. French, Grand Endeavor, and JLP are a few of the more active builders in the Area, and based on what neighbors say, they could stand to have more good superintendents and fewer salespeople, but most were building during COVID so things were a bit crazy.

Things have certainly slowed down, and there seems to be more pre-owned homes on the market and many fewer new starts,.
