10-man half PPR keeper league. 2nd pick in the draft. The big names being kept around the league are Kupp, Chase, Henry, Lamb, Kamara and McLaurin. I am keeping Saquon Barkley for my 7th round pick.

I am wondering what to do with the 2nd pick assuming Taylor goes 1. With so many top WRs being kept I am honestly leaning toward Justin Jefferson instead of picking an injury prone back like CMC, Cook or Ekeler. What say y'all?

Personally, I would go RB with that pick (CMC would be my choice). Then take WR/WR or WR/TE when it comes back around. I think you end up with a better overall squad.

Am I crazy that I like Najee over CMC? I'm picking 3rd in a PPR league, and I would prefer Najee to drop over CMC. Two straight year with significant injuries and an offense that isn't too creative and I just don't trust CMC in the top 5 anymore

I'm with you on that. A healthy CMC is probably still the 1.1, but that's just a huge gamble and forcing me to look elsewhere with the 2nd pick.

Cmc, health concerns but when healthy the dude wins leagues. He's a teir 1 back. Maybe someone like jamar chase sticks around on the snake.

Just make sure and stash his backup mid to late. It's either Chubba or the sip.

You have Barkley but would go rb in round two because you have 2 with injury history. Watch out for kamara because he may get suspended. WR crew gets pretty muddy past teir 2. But the bell cow rb's are rare.

You have Barkley also, but i love trade bait. If all three produce, you can offload one in a trade.

Keeper league, no chance JJ is still on the board. Most stashed him from his rookie season. Unless they have a 1 year limit on keepers.

Thanks for the input Islander, but Chase is being kept. The only tier 1 WRs on the board are Jefferson, Diggs, Adams and Deebo. No chance any of those guys come back to me in round 2 so that's why I considered taking Jefferson. At that point I'd almost consider going zero RB in the first 3 rounds then trying to pick up Dillon or Dobbins at the 4/5 turn, maybe pick up some more scraps along the way and targeting a guy like Dameon Pierce late.

I agree healthy CMC is a monster, but the injury risk is huge and I personally think his handcuffs just simply can't put up even 80% of the production he could, so I am not big on either of those guys. They just can't do what he can do. It's not like a Cook/Mattison or Zeke/Pollard situation where the second guy fills right in and they keep rolling. That's just my opinion.

Draft is tonight. Cheers to all that replied.

I've gotten in the habit of avoiding guys who have suffered a major injury like the plague. Pick a guy who is young,, healthy, and gets the ball a lot. Jefferson is a great choice for those 3 definitions. Even healthy, CMC is at a spot where he'll probably have multiple crappy QBs throwing his way this year and it's going to hurt his production.

Good luck, i'm 12th pick in both my competitive leagues so going to be a rough season. If you go jj, make sure to lock in someone like chubb/conner in the 2nd, then Someone like Higgins/Hill in the snake 4. Alot of people sleeping on Cheetah, bc they say tua cant throw the deep ball. Honestly, he's never had a deep threat at miami until now.

I won 2 seasons picking megatron as my 1st. Not saying jj is megatron, but the vikings throw alot his way.

Draft went as follows:

Jefferson
Kelce
Pittman Jr
Diontae Johnson
JK Dobbins
Brandin Cooks
Saquon (keeper)
Damien Harris
Rashaad Penny
Amon-Ra St Brown
Derek Carr
Cole Kmet
Skyy Moore
Jahan Dotson
George Pickens
Ryan Succop

Will have to drop someone to pick up a defense, but plenty of time to see how injuries shake out before I do that and I wanted those three high upside WRs on the back end of the draft. Wanted to get Jalen Tolbert too but I have too many WRs currently rostered. I may end up making a trade for some RB depth.

I never go after the top TEs but Kelce made it back to me and I figured hell I'll go for it. We'll see how it shakes out.

CMC fell to 7th pick haha.
