You can pick anywhere from 0 teams to 16 teams depending on your level of confidence (I don't recommend 0, that doesn't help much). You can literally pick just 1 game during a week if you want to.
You will earn points for every game you pick correctly, but only if you are correct on every pick you make. If you miss any pick, you get zero points for that week. Imagine it like a weekly parlay, and choose wisely.

Scoring is cumulative:
1 correct: 1 point
2 correct: 3 points
3 correct: 6 points
4 correct: 10 points
5 correct: 15 points
....and so on. Total possible points per week is 136, but you'd have to be a wizard to score that. Are you a wizard?

Remember, if you get 4 picks correct and 1 incorrect, the whole week is a waste and you get nothing.

We are less than 3 weeks away from the start of the 2025 football season, and thus it is time to relaunch your favorite weekly headache, NFL Desperation!

Couple of important notes:

-OfficeFootballPool, which has hosted the game the past 3 seasons, is now Splash Sports. Fortunately, nothing has changed on your end. Login info should be the same and the game is set up to play exactly like before. You'll want to download the Splash Sports app to be able to play mobile

-Registration fee is the same as last year: $58 to cover the pot plus a few bones for the website fees. Venmo @DerekCurlee or email me to work out a payment alternative

-Game rules and scoring are the same as they've always been, but there is one new wrinkle this year: Week 3 will feature a "Highest Single Week Score" contest, where everybody has a chance to take home some prize money early in the season!!
