Woody Marks seems like the player to target. How much of FAAB to spend? 50% too much?

Woody is a tough one

While he is now primed to be the bell cow I'd also be hesitant putting that kinda chunk of FAAB into someone on that offense.

FAAB targets:
1. Woody Marks. I think 70-80% of FAAB. Just be smart with defense streams.
2. Defenses: lots of average defenses playing bad offenses.
3. Malik Washington. I think he benefits from Hill injury.
4. Darren Waller. 2 TDs. I would not go high FAAB.
5. Mason Taylor had a decent game. Momentum for a rookie.
6. Jaxon Dart. He is wanting to run the ball.
7. Theo Johnson. Someone has to take Nabers targets. I think.

a lot of injuries piling up and bye weeks starting... Falcons, Bears, Packers, Steelers.


I said in the week 4 thread that I was probably not going to target Woody Marks. I was at NRG on Sunday and impressed with him. He looks more explosive than Chubb and has emerged ahead of him it appears... but Chubb isn't going away, Mixon could return(?), and Sunday's performance was vs the lowly Titans- Texans OL is still awful for ROS. ...so I wasn't going to put a claim in for Marks.. I instead wanted to propose some trade deals for a different RB2 for my lineup but now, I think I will just put a claim for Marks and see if I get him, because I've got some injuries of my own to my trade bait (notably - Pearsall) and running out of options for week 5. I'm only 4th or 5th in waiver priority, so might not get him, but I think I should try. He's still a better rb2 start than Chabonnet, Croskey-Merritt, or Rhamondre.

Picked up Marks last week. Should I bench Chase Brown?

RB1 -K9 (Bijan on bye)
RB2 - Marks
WR1 - Pickens
WR2 - Worthy
Flex 1 - Wan'Dale Robinson (with Nabors out)
Flex 2 - Michael Pittman

are you rolling with them in Baltimore...if Lamar is out?

Try and trade Nix. Anything in return is better than dropping him.

Maybe someone out there needs an upgrade (Kyler or Daniel Jones owners) or someone needs a fill in for injuries (Lamar).

Flowers yes. Rush doesnt strike me as a deep ball guy so DHop and Bateman will likely be less valuable. Make Andrew's or likely if he is healthy would get more targets in my opinion.

odd DNP update re: Trey Benson.. AZ is about to play the beleaguered Titans that Woody Marks and Nick Chubb just tore through. If Benson pops on injury report, Demercado or Michael Carter could be sneaky plays this weekend.

You accept that.
Hampton >> Ken walker.
BTJ is still a part of that offense. If he has a big game of 100 yards and a TD you would be able to flip him for a legitimate RB. Sutton will always be Sutton.

Note I dont care for Caleb and dont want him at end of season because Chicago gets cold and windy. Which means BAD things for QBs and WRs

People struggle to not over value players because they are on their team.

I see you have 3 QBs and could lose Caleb Williams no problem. This deal is really giving Walker and Sutton for Hampton and BTJ. you upgrade RB, downgrade a WR, they upgrade WR, downgrade a RB1/2 ...how badly do they need a QB?

They are trying to sell high on Hampton after his two break out performances sans Najee. I like Hampton a lot. Good schedule for ROS too. Walker has been performing despite the share with Charbonnet, but Hampton's volume outlook for ROS looks outstanding. BTJ has been a bum so far this year. You've got two more weeks until Rice returns and maybe 1-2 (you hope) weeks before Lamb returns. Can you stand starting Jakobi and BTJ at WR for the next two weeks? Ayomanor at flex? In ppr, I think I'd rather have Sutton in the lineup and Jakobi at flex, but just getting the roster to the point of having Bucky + Hampton at RB for ROS is potentially league-winning- and it's only a few weeks to wait for Lamb + Rice if BTJ doesn't wake up. ...they may not bite, but what if you counter with Walker + Meyer instead of Sutton? Sutton is just more predictable and reliable right now.

Yeah that's my thinking. I can hold on and make do until reinforcements arrive at WR.

I tried to counter with Meyers but the catch is Caleb is on a BYE this week so for him eating the BYE he wanted Sutton. He's 1-3 and can't afford to keep losing.

He had Burrow and no backup and has been playing Jones and Dart last week.

I would be getting Nico Collins and Ladd McConkey (instead of McConkey I would want Quentin Johnston instead)

My receivers blow major a$$ so I'm in need of WRs. My other RBs are Kyren Williams, Trey Benson and DeAndre Swift. Not the absolute best but much better than my receivers (Jameson Williams, Calvin Ridley and Travis Hunter, of which none have done a damn thing)

Thoughts??

PPR league. With Pitts on bye, I'm having to start Fannin Jr. but with the news that Flacco is being benched for Dillon Gabriel, should I still roll with HFj or should I try and snag Waller? My first thought, is don't start the guy having to rely on a rookie in his first start. Second thought thigh, is he'll probably check down a lot and throw short passes underneath, so I'm torn.

Drop candidates are Hollywood brown, rj harvey or Daniel jones

Yeah I'd hold out for QJ. Ladd has been trash and while I do think he'll finish the season better than he started, and QJ might have some regression, LM is not even getting the targets right now.
