This game has been a defensive slugfest with 12 combined points (0 touchdowns, 4 field goals) so far.

The Patriots scored the first touchdown of the game to increase their lead to 16-3 with 9:45 left.

Not sure Herbert will be able to have children anymore....

After a 3-3 tie with 6:52 left in the 2nd quarter, the Patriots outscored the Chargers 13-0 to defeat the Chargers 16-3 and advance to the divisional round. As a result, the Patriots won a playoff game for the first time since a 13-3 win over the Rams in Super Bowl LIII on 2/3/2019. The Chargers have lost 4 consecutive playoff games, all on the road, since a 23-17 road win over the Ravens in a 2018 Wild Card playoff game on 1/6/2019, and 3 of those 4 losses were by 13+ points each.

It's crazy how this game featured the fewest combined points (19) and the largest margin of victory (13) in this round. Every team scored at least 19 points in the previous 4 Wild Card playoff games, and all of them were decided by 4 points or fewer.

Herbert got obliterated.

His best chance to win a playoff game came in a 2022 Wild Card playoff game against the Jaguars on the road when the Chargers blew a 27-0 lead with 4:52 left in the 2nd quarter to lose 31-30. In contrast, the Chargers' last two playoff losses to the Texans and Patriots were by a combined score of 48-15.

It seems the only way Justin Herbert can win a playoff game is for the Chargers to win the AFC West.
