I like the British/Scottish announcers on ESPN2 MUCH better.

Frankly, I thought Germany looked better than England, yesterday.
Except for the fact that they have a slower, suspect defense, they have some GREAT shooters.

England can get out of their group playing like this but if the Lions expect to get much farther they are going to need a healthy Owen and Rooney.

Thought he was Scottish (I always get those accents mixed up). Either way, he's terrific...both were on that telecast.

Tommy Smyth is brilliant. Also has great columns and chats on espn. When it comes to soccer, he is John Madden, Keith Jackson, Vin Scully and Harry Caray combined. Called thousands of huge games from every league imaginable.
Last World Cup, ESPN had a studio show with him every night. I hope they do it this year, it was really good.
