I think the US players are really into this game. I am predicting 2-1.

CR is thinking about the FIFA overrated US and have thoughts as to whether US is actually 3rd or 4th in this group.

Any chance that we start Convey left and Beasley on the right? That kind of speed would scare some folks.

The midfield is probably locked in with claudio and beasley (gut instinct i think bruce likes his D)

Landon will be a forward or a midfielder and of course McBride

That leaves two spots up for grabs as a foward or a midfielder for Convey, Pablo, JOB, or EJ.

Id like to see EJ in the game just because i think he may do something amazing on the biggest stage. And i would like to see JOB out on a wing maybe helping start the attacks and put in crosses.

But of course bruce likes defense and the czechs can really score so i wouldnt be surprised to see Pablo out there

I think 1-0 USA. I'm hoping I'm wrong and it ends up being something like 2-1 USA. This game has me worried, but I think the US will pull it off.

ag-rice - I think you're right on lineup. Assuming Bruce doesn't do something different with formation. He's been coy with media, but that's just his nature. We still don't "officially know" who starts in goal.

lewis-gooch-pope-dolo - I don't see any reason to mess with this.

I also think EJ and McBride upfront. EJ's speed could be great against Czech.

Midfield is where things get trickier.
claudio is lock. I think Mastro should start against good offensive team. Landon D of course. Then you have Beasley/Convey/JOB to fill last spot? I'd probably also start Beasley.

But you never know. He might pull a different formation to throw off Czech, like we did against Mexico in WC2002.

With the Czech's attack we'll need two to tie, so I'm saying 2-2 draw.

And I'll be very happy about it. Everytime we win or tie our first game in the World Cups we've been in, we advance out of group play.

the real question is, who comes in off the bench? I believe we posses the 2-4 players that can come in and make an immediate difference in the game, whether its obrien,convey,beasley, or dempsey. All 4 of those guys are dangerous and creative.

patag, our depth is soo strong compared to any other former US team that I believe you are right. Our subs could have a huge impact on the game.

I'm so excited about this game it's unbelievable. I could see anything happening, a convincing US win, a classic close contest, or a huge letdown as the Czechs cruise to an easy victory. I'm beginning to fear that the last one might be what happens. Anyway, just 3 hours, 17 minutes to go!

i dont have a "bad feeling" today like i would when i suspect a whipping is going to occur. im fairly confident in our squad and Bruce and i think our boys are going to come ready to play today.
