Anyone else played this? I know it's been out awhile but I have to say, this is one of the greatest gaming experiences I have ever had. My son and I just finished it and I cannot think of a more perfect game. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

My kids played it together and I watched some. Excellent game and the story is really good though some scenes were kind of wacky...

It was good game with a fun variety of mini games.

It was a bit eye-rolly with the heavy handed gender role reversal of the couple, imo.

I played it with my son as well. We loved it! The mechanics are phenomenal. Some of the levels, the snow globe, were really well done!

We enjoyed it! Probably the best couch co-op, kid-friendly, game out there!

The story-line can be a challenge for younger ones...it is about divorce. I know that sounds odd, but you have to play the game.

My son is a divorced kiddo and I think it meant something to him as well. His mother and I get along great, so it helps. But overall, I loved the story and their salutes to so many other genres. I think my favorite was the musical area, had a very 80s vibe to it and I loved the story part of her singing.

Interested in picking this one up for the 8yo. Haven't really played a lot of co-op with him and I need to get better about that.

Some of the dialogue may go over an 8 yr old's head, but it would still be a super fun game anyways. Lots of different play styles are needed. But kids these days are freakin geniuses at video games. I was amazed at how quickly my son was able to pick up all the skils and solve puzzles.

If you enjoyed this, you should try playing Grounded. Kid-friendly Rust/ARK type of game, "survival/crafting" where you play shrunken teens in the back yard having to fend off ants, weevils, spiders, etc and figure out how to blow yourselfs up back to normal size.

I am playing with my 8 year old son and my brother and we are having a great time together.

It's $40 a copy on steam, but my son and I are playing it on XBOX Live PC for $9/mo. It's probably 10-15 hours to beat, so 1 month pays for itself.

This is also a great co-op game to play with your significant other especially if they aren't big into video games as you are. Played it with my wife who isn't as skilled as me with very little gamer experience since her dad suppressed her from playing any video games when she was a kid. And she had an absolute blast and never got bored at any time since the game does an excellent job on changing up the gameplay and constantly providing new mechanics and abilities along the way. I literally shouted out to my wife when the gameplay changed to 2D Street Fighter complete with Hadouken!, to RPG Diablo, and to Mario Kart Rainbow Road. Even the way the players health was done was excellent since it allows the better gamer to do the heavy lifting for both players instead of the weaker player always bringing the entire team down.

There should be more great co-op only games like It Takes Two. And apparently a movie is in development with Dwayne Johnson potentially starring.
