I currently have a couple of older nighthawk r7000s (AC 1900s) that have been failing often. I'm update to date on firmware, they just have poor speeds, or bad connection which requires a restart.

I have one in the middle of my 2,000 square foot house. From that one I run a cat6 through the attic down the side (in conduit), then underground to my home office about 200 feet away. Another r7000s is out there powering those devices. It's setup in bridge mode at the moment.

Anyone have recommendations for routers to replace the two? Or another setup I could use with my current configuration?

TIA

I'd get a three node WiFi 6E mesh system that supports wired backhaul. The main node will be wired to the office node. You can use the third node wirelessly to cover any dead spots in your home.

Costco has the TP-Link AXE5300 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6E System on sale for $270. It's a good system.

Thanks. Will I be able to hardwire something from the office run? Need to wire my SmartThings hub out there a minimum

Specs seem to show 3 gigabit ports on each device.

Yes, you'll be able to hardwire your SmartThings hub.
