Wow... that's a hard one. I'm 36 and we never had a playstation, so that basically encompasses every game I consider a classic. If I had to choose 3, then I would have to choose the ones I played the most:

Perfect Dark - they took goldeneye and perfected it.
StarFox - dumb mindless arcade fun
MarioKart - Battle mode-BlockFort-gimme ALL the green turtle shells.

2) Diddy Kong Racing
3) Goldeneye

Just need to get it out there that Diddy Kong Racing is a better game than Mario Kart 64, and I like Mario Kart 64. I'd give the battle mode edge to Mario Kart but that's it. The co-op adventure mode in DKR is such an absolute blast.

I'll also add that if we're going super literal and get to actually pick the carts to keep in that picture I'm going Super Bowling since it's worth like $500 loose and if that's a Sculptor's Cut of Clayfighter I'll take that as well since it's about $1000 loose.

All other answers are wrong

No trolling but i think Majoras mask is one of the worst Zelda games out there and I can't explain why. Maybe just how goofy Majora looks or Deku Link just gave me the creeps.

For this selection, I'll go OOT, Goldeneye, Smash Bros.

Mario64 and Rogue Squadron were two big misses that would have wound up in my top three if they were included.

I had no idea StarCraft was released on n64.


Where is gauntlet at? Played that a ton on n64.

So was Command & Conquer. Never played Starcraft 64, but C&C was baaaaaaaaaaaad.

My top 3 would probably echo OP's, with *maybe* Goldeneye getting edged out by one of Starfox, Mario 64, or Smash Bros. OOT and MM are easy choices for me, though.

Love how the picture has some absolute dogs on it like Clay Fighter.

I don't do Instagram so I didn't click through it to see more context and comments but there's a couple of bad games that are just worth a ton of money mixed in there, like the two I mentioned above. It made me wonder if this wasn't some clever trick post trying to see who knew about those high dollar items.

Do backup units ever pop-up on the market for sale? I sold my Z64, but still have the original V64 in a box somewhere collecting dust.

I replayed through the whole game on Switch this year and still had a blast.

Not gonna lie, I had to look up what you were even talking about. That's really freaking cool if you have one, I didn't dig too deep but Reddit posts talking about these things ~5 years ago were seeing them for around $300 on ebay at the time. The retro game collecting world has exploded since then, it might be worth quite a bit.

EDIT to ask if this is what you have below. If you have it complete with box and manual they're showing it at almost $1600.

And it was always crazy expensive. Back in those days, the only way I could play multiplayer in Starcraft was on N64, because our internet was so bad. I remember finally finding it used at a gamestop for the same price as a fully new game. It was always rare to find.
