Anyone have experience with Frontier FIOS in houston? Specifically the south/SE side like Friendswood/league city?

Moving soon from a 2100 sqft to about a 2800, and thinking about going from xfinity to Frontier. But not sure how the service is.

As well, if anyone does recommend frontier FIOS, thoughts on modems/Routers? Current modem is a nighthawk 32 x8 docsis 3.1 cable modem. 2GB max, and an ASUS ac1900 router. Looking into if I need a mesh network or upgrades...

I had Fios in League City when it was still Verizon. Then switched to Comcast after the transition to Frontier due to reliability issues. They appear to have gotten those issues worked out. I'm no longer in League City and am using Frontier Fios again. Their router is providing twice the speeds as the Eero 6 Pro I initially installed.
