How do you do this?

I use my personal phone (iPhone) for work so I end up saving work contacts in my phone; however I would like a way to keep a work contact list separate from my personal contact list (iCloud).

Right now you can't "move" a contact over from one list to another on the iPhone. So if I create a work contact on the iCloud list there's no way to migrate it over to say my outlook contacts. I have to completely re-enter everything. Also, I'd prefer to have something I can retain if I leave my job. In other words, if it is stored in outlook, I would need a way to download or export that phone book.

I was able to export my contacts from my aggienetwork lifetime email account, and import them into iCloud. Just yesterday as a matter of fact. Had to do it through a desktop browser.

I would love to know if anyone has a better way to manage the "lists" in iOS, since iOS contact management is so utterly horrific. It's a big problem for me, as I have no idea if my work or personal contacts are on the right list or not.

I always tell my customers to use M365/Outlook for business contacts. With just about every business application going to the cloud, and app integrations becoming more and more essential for business, it just makes it so much easier to manage your contacts in a single location that integrates with everything out there.

Global Address list for contacts everyone in the organization needs, and my own personal contacts for mine. This in turn is pulled into all UCaaS/VOIP solutions, CRM's, etc.
