Our business uses Crexendo VoIP for our phone and e-fax services. We just got an email stating they are migrating our service to a VIP service. I don't know what is different between VoIP and VIP, but since they are changing the service, I thought I would see if anybody knows if there are any other options out there that are as good as or better than Crexendo at the same price level or cheaper. We only have 10 employees so we don't need a lot of features. We haven't really had any issues in five years, but I thought I would see what options are out there.

We use Voip.ms, but it is not a traditional voip service where you pay $10 per user per month.

If you own your own phones or are willing to buy them, you can port your number to voip.ms, each phone registers to the provider, then you can still transfer calls, ring each others lines, etc.

You pay a flat fee for them hosting your number, like $3.50, then you pay per minute in or out, but it is stupid cheap, like 1 cent per minute or maybe less.

The also have setup instructions for most phones on their website.

They also have failover options to ring another number or fwd to another provider if your internet is down, etc.

Can't remember all the details as I set it up like 5 years ago.

There are plenty of solutions better, but not really cheaper from what I've been able to find online for Crexendo pricing. What is your current monthly bill for 10 extensions? If you don't need any features and have not had any issues with the service, then why look at something else? I've been in the telecom industry for over 10 years but haven't heard of Crexendo, so don't have much feedback to give. Generally, if someone is looking for a new solution, then there are usually some pain points with the current solution they are looking to fix.

We're using AT&T for VOIP. The advantage is that their solution works with our current telephone system so it was a very easy switch.

On the other hand, they have not been able to port our telephone numbers. Instead you can call the numbers we've had for years and they forward to our system. When you call out, though, it uses a completely different set of numbers.

By the way, Google works pretty good as well, but as someone pointed out Google will often do something for a while and then tire of it and stop doing it. While that might work for a home or personal phone, it wouldn't go over well for a business.
