Subject line says it all.

We recorded a video of my grandfather talking about his life on my cousins iPhone and it is basically like 8 videos and was looking for some help of putting them all together in one video and sharing with the family.

Any advice or someone/company that could assist me in this?

I personally use Black Magic DaVinci Resolve for my video editing.

It's free, you just have to register. But it may be overkill for what you are doing.

Can you use iMovie straight from the phone? That's probably the easiest route.

No clue to know how to do any of this haha.

This is definitely not my forte.

Ill look at iMovie and see what it could do.

You can try Microsoft's new ClipChamp. Requires a Microsoft account but it's free.

I use iMovie. It is free since you have an apple device. The one drawback is it will not merge vertical videos without cropping them to a square. To get around that, just edit video you want to merge by rotating them to horizontal. Then merge them via iMovie. Once the merged video is saved, rotate the final video back to vertical.

However if all were already recorded in horizontal ode, just merge them and be done with it.

If the videos are a mixture, decide which clips matter most. At worst you may have some clips which are square but have the black margins on the left and right sides of the video. Small price to pay for keeping your grandfather's digital legacy around though.

Good luck!
