Is absolutely worthless! I can never get it to work consistently on my kids iPads, about to throw everything in the trash.

Any other parents having the same issue?

Works great, but I'll take an iPad if you're just throwing them away.

Never had a problem with it, personally. Not calling you wrong, but have you considered your kids possibly knowing the code?

We never had a problem with it, but it can be a little unwieldy. My biggest issue was accidentally blocking things I wanted to allow actually.

I don't think that's the case but I'll check. I will adjust the schedule and it's like one iPad doesn't take it

We've used it successfully for a few years so probably need some additional information to help figure out if it's either something screen time can't do (there's plenty of that) or just something squirrelly going on (which also happens a lot). Obviously if fav's advice is true, that's the simplest answer. I have 4 kids so they do try to be sneaky and look over my shoulder when I have to make changes to their screen time. I have had to change my youngest's code more than once for that reason. If not, other questions might be:

Do your iPads/kids each have their own AppleIDs? Do they have multiple devices (eg. iPhone, iPad, Mac)? Are they all using the same account across those devices? What setting(s) are you changing that don't stick? On which device are you making the change (a parent device for the child AppleID in question or one of the kid devices - this matters)? When you make the change how long does it take for it to change back? Is it affecting just one device out of many with the same AppleID (if so, this is most likely a figured out passcode)?

If the device is internet enabled, the best way to change screen time settings is on the parent device for the kid account in my experience.

Can you not set up something on your Router that will shut off the wi-fi at a certain time of day, or after a certain time limit?

I use a combination of Screen Time and Qustodio. Qustodio allows me to see everything that is searched, watched, and even text messages. You also have the control over which apps are allowed.

Thanks for sharing, will have to try out

I was looking at the devices closely yesterday and seemed to be working alright after updating the iOS. There is a slight lag for when I adjust the settings but other than that seems to be working.

The only issue I have is we want to block YouTube but they can still access it. I've put the YouTube web address in about a dozen different ways, but they still get there.

I have been overall disappointed with Screen Time on iOS.

I set everything up how I want it, yet still find apps being used over their time restriction limit.
I set everything up how I want it, and then hours later - not consistent - it has all been turned off and I have to go back through and reconfigure everything.

I have been back and forth with varying levels of Apple Support and their conclusion is - my kid is using my screen time passcode to undo everything. 100% disagree...I change so frequently and there is no way it is discoverable.

When it works, it works great. But it rarely does.
