Cleaning out some closets and I found a box with a HR24-200-R receiver. It is refurbished and still in the original packaging. I don't anticipate getting DirecTV again anytime soon. Is there a way to determine if DirecTV would activate this for someone if I try to sell it? Seems like these are a rare commodity these days based on some very quick internet research.

I think it's all about the card that's inserted in it. As long as DirecTV will give the buyer a new card, they'll activate it.
