The standard issue apple earbuds are not cutting it for me.

I see them every where from $69-$250. Beats, Sony, Bose etc…

Thoughts? Thanks

I've got some Samsung Galaxy Buds2 that came with a tablet I bought. They sound fantastic but no matter what size ear tips I put on them I can't keep them in my ear if I move at all. My airpods don't have that problem.

Bose QC Ultra here. They are great. Had a pair of QC2 earbuds prior to that and they were hot garbage. Finally had one start cutting out randomly and spent 30 minutes in a chat session with customer support. They offered to upgrade me to the Ultras for a discount ($150) and I told them I'd rather get them for free given all the issues with the QC2. The guy left to "consult with his manager" and came back 2 min later and agreed.

1. Technics EAH-AZ80 Wireless Earbuds - $289 Best Overall sound quality very high end drivers. Best 2 channel sound available in ear buds

2. Sony WF-1000XM5 Wireless Earbuds - $248 Best Overall ear buds excellent sound but much better noise cancellation and surround modes.

3.. Bose QuietComfort Ultra Wireless Earbuds $249 - Great all around buds but definite step below the Sony's in sound quality.

4. Google Pixel Buds Pro Wireless Earbuds $139 - Best sound and noise cancellation for the money being replace by supposedly higher end ones next month but those will be $249 so have to be as good as the other big boys at that price.

Sound will always be compromised in earbuds, so you don't get as much of a return on your investment as you might with speakers or headphones. I use Anker Soundcore A40s. $50 and I don't cry when I lose one or wash them.

This. I've got Google Pixel Buds Pro and a set of Bose Quiet Comfort ll over the ear. The sounds quality and noise cancinf is night and day different.

Still like my pixel buds, but they will never be as good as real noise cancelling headphone.

Honestly, my AirPod pros are the most livable.

The plug in ones work better though for phone calls.

I did the DAC/better ones once, and agree with not worrying too much about audio quality from ear buds.

I need to upgrade mine as well. Will probably go Sony.

I own the Beats PROs but I do not recommend for anything other than working out in them. They don't have noise cancellation and they are a PITA to get on your ears. I only bought them because my ears won't hold an ear bud when doing anything more than walking in them.
