I have an Aoozi webcam (Aoozi Web Cam QS-WB-201B). I picked it up from Target about 8 years ago. It still is pretty decent and runs from Windows drivers. I don't install any software just for this.

I got a Logitech HD Pro C920 webcam and tested it using webcamtests.com/check

The video on logitech does not seem as clear as the Aoozi webcam which puzzled me. However Logitech has a higher "quality rating" than Aoozi webcam.

What is a good way to test quality other than visually?

Can anyone recommend some good webcams? I would use it for work related meetings and interviews.

I use this one for work and it's EXCELLENT considering the cost. $25 on amazon right now (think I paid $40-$50 a year or so ago) and I haven't thought of complaining once. There's a 4k model for $230 but it's overkill for just standard Teams meetings and occasional Discord calls.

I've been testing a few different webcams and also did like a "taste test" where I see which picture is sharper without looking at the name of the webcam and Logitech is the worst. These no name brands possibly from China are much better. I had ordered an EMEET webcam, that is better. I just ordered "Newline" as recommended above, let's see how good that is.

When testing make sure to turn on HD video in whatever viewing program you use if its not default. I had to enable it in Zoom, before then the picture was a 720p blurry mess on her 32" monitor. Once enabled it was crisp and clear in the test recordings i made. Plus the flip down privacy shutter is nice and easy for her to remember to use.
