Does anyone have any experience with Xfinity high speed internet and cell service? I looked online and they were offering Gig internet and 2 unlimited cell phone plans for around $70/month. I am currently paying for ATT fiber for $50/month after threatening to cancel after it jumped up to about $100. I'm also paying $75/month for Verizon prepaid for one line of 15gbs of data and one unlimited data plan.

Seems like a great deal to basically cut my internet and cell phone bills in half. How is the service for both?

I don't have xfinity but I would not buy cellular from any cable vendor. Typically they have a mvno arrangement with one of the big national carriers, but not in a typical deployment scenario. Xfinity for non business accounts is with Verizon. They use VZW's network to provision VOIP to your phone and terminate your calls via their network. So in cases where your Verizon phone would work for calls but data is marginal your calls will absolutely fail on xfinity. This seems to be the mode for all the cable carriers, xfinity, charter, comcast, suddenlink/optimum that I have dealt with. One I evaluated used Tmobile to injest their voice packets into their network but if they did not have coverage they dropped back to legacy gsm ATT. Of course that was in the past but in general voice is a we will try (not very hard) to get your calls to you. If your livelihood depends on voice, just stay with a major or one of their direct MVNO's.

We had Xfinity internet and mobile a few years ago. Honestly, no issues with the mobile at all. I always heard about the above but never had issues personally. Anytime I ever had issues with data or making calls, everyone I was with was having the same issues. A&M games, etc.

We switched because the internet at our house wasn't reliable. Anytime we had an outage it lasted days. Heard better things about AT&T but thinking about switching back.

Other positive about Xfinity mobile is they operate more like the big names in terms of promos. Like if you switch you can get a free iphone, etc. Most of the budget mobile carriers are strictly byod or pay for it. Which is kind of crazy considering how cheap their mobile service is.
