As a fan of the series, I am absolutely loving this game.

It feels like a "greatest hits" for the series, in a way.

It very much feels like two separate games, in the sense that Grace's campaign gives the 7-8 horror vibes, and Leon's campaign is very RE4, down to the inventory and weapon upgrades.

But I think it will satisfy all fans of the series.

Absolutely gorgeous to look at, too. And I'm playing on a PS5 without raytracing enabled.

Glad to see the series doing so well. RE has slowly become one of my favorite series.

Ironically enough, I've never gotten around to playing RE4 for some odd reason. But in recent years I've really enjoyed the remakes of 1 & 2 as well as 7 & 8.

That is the best one.

Highly recommend doing 4 and follow it up with 9.

I know!!! I even liked RE5 (which some hated) so it's odd that I've never made time for 4.

I've thought about playing the original release via emulation, but they've done such a great job with the remasters that I should probably just pick up that version.

I just wanted to contribute and tell you all that I hate this series with a passion. Worst series ever, in fact. I loved the original game but all of them since have sucked.

Terrible POV mechanics and unkillable bad guys that chase you around the level until you last enough to make it to a cutscene is terrible game design.

Thought the exact same thing until I played Village on GamePass. Then I knocked out 2,3, and 4 Remakes and then 7. Love 9. It's great.

There's a lot I don't like about this series but 4 is damn near perfect, one of the best and most influential games of all time.

It's also hard to deny Resident Evil 2's impact on the industry. The cinematic presentation firmly cemented the Playstation as the "adult" console over Nintendo.
