I heard somebody mention this might be WeWork 2.0 when they have to release financials to go public. It could be really bad for the AI space in general and the overall stock market.

OpenAI probably collected all the crowdsourced AI slop training it needed for now and will a) sell the Sora tech to a venture aimed at commercial AI content production or b) license it for a lot more than what it was charging.

My wife has Chat sub she uses for her business but I'm trying to get her to switch but that's mostly because I think Altman is a bad actor and I don't want our money going to him.

But i don't disagree with you. Altman seems uniquely awful.

I'm using Claude, Manus, and Perplexity

After using Manus, I'm pretty convinced that the Big 4 (especially Google and Meta) are simply letting all these AI plays raise a ton of money to cut checks to them, and then they are going to use their data centers to run their own AI

I moved my subscription over to Claude. It's been tremendous at coding and reviewing code. I'll keep Gemini and Chat GPT open for various things, but Chat GPT has gone from my daily driver to 3rd place.

Claude is amazing. I was trying put some of our HS seniors photos together in a collage on one photo,, and kept running into apps that wanted a subscription or fee. Eff that, I vibe coded a program using Claude and it spit it out the file in less than a min. After having it do some minor tweaks, I have a perfect little app that I run locally. And I just used the free version of Claude.

Claude is excellent at speeding up the analysis of any given problem I have on a client business. Likewise it's excellent at talking through whatever I'm working on that will eventually land in a spreadsheet then creating said spreadsheet in 1/4 the time it would take me to create it. It's equally excellent at helping me understand the nuance of a client's industry in a way I never could before. I simply have too many clients to dedicate the time to but this shortens what would be weeks of studying to a couple of hours of back and forth. I joked the other day I feel like Trinity learning to fly a helicopter, I just close my eyes and Claude downloads what I need to know. It's made me far better at serving clients than I was before.
