Does anyone know if there is a product where you can lock items inside and unlock remotely via WiFi?

What I am trying to find is something I can lock my kids phones inside until their chores are completed each day. I am not usually home from work by the time they're finished with their tasks so being able to unlock the "box" remotely from my phone via an app would be ideal. Not sure if something like this exists but it seems likely. Google searches weren't really a help.

If your kids are young enough, the parental controls on the phone should allow you to lock them out completely until a certain time.

I can do that. I just don't want them sitting on their butts doing nothing until whenever that time is and they get home from school before I get home from work so I was looking for a way to lock up/unlock(enable/disable) them remotely from my phone.

They're 12 & 13 and sharp enough to figure out how to work around most "controls".

Thank you, that's about like what I was imagining. Would be nice if there was something like that but smaller and not a steel safe but that may have to do.

You could get a smart lock to put a on a room or a closet in your house. Then keep the phones in that room.
