I am primarily posting this for the recent wildlife students. I wouldn't be suprised if there are posters on here that knew him.

There are a couple threads over on the Aggieland board about his death. Rufus was a Dec. Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences graduate. For those who don't know, Rufus was murdered in the early morning hours on Saturday in College Station. The suspect was captured later by CSPD. As reported so far, there is no known motive.

I do not personally know Rufus Jr., but I know his father pretty well. His father is a good Aggie, and one of the best biologists with TPWD I know.

Very strange deal. From the looks of it there is noreason at all but I have to assume there is something the fuzz knows that we don't. Sad.

Had the pleasure of working with his dad recently...very nice guy and a good biologist. Really sad to hear about this...T&P for him and his family.

I have a mutual friend that was pretty good friends with him. I met him at his ring dunk. Pretty nice guy. Sad to hear about it.

I knew him a little bit from some classes, he was nice and a pretty cool dude.

I knew the murderer. Absolutely crazy after all these years. I was shocked like many when this occurred.
