I have a family of 4. Thinking of getting this one below with the air fryer on the side but debating between that and just getting the larger 4 burner (no air fryer)

Smaller 2 Burner with Air Fryer

Larger 4 Burner

Wanting to use some of my Lowe's gift cards so limited to their selection. Any suggestions for those that have them?

Just recently went with 4 burner.. bigger is better with zero regrets. I couldn't see the need for air fryer but maybe only a small portion of the time so opted out of that

This.

Get a dedicated griddle, and if you want to get an air fryer, get an air fryer that you can toss in a cabinet when you aren't using it or something.

I have a 30" 2 burner Blackstone. Hell of a good griddle, use it at deer camp all of the time and at home fairly frequently as well. Only complaints are that the regulator on the factory gas hose was garbage and didn't allow for good gas flow - replaced it with a better one and the difference was immediately noticeable in heat output. And the coating on the lid is halfway flaked off, either poor QC over in Bangladesh or whereever on the prep and coatings, or just crap paint. One day will blast and re-coat it, but not today.

4 burner. You'll usually have two burners on and the other two off. Cook on left side, then push to right while you cook other stuff. You need room.

I'd only get a 2 burner if I got the portable one. My neighbor has that for camping.

I also bought an adjuster regulator to swap out. My Blackstone stopped getting as hot as I like. This one you can blast the heat.

Smash burgers and fried rice are my favorite items.

I have a Blackstone and use it quite a bit. I am thinking about replacing with a Loco griddle that has been released in the past year . I first saw it on one of the meat church videos and he raved about how evenly it heats along with the digital temp knobs. It may be worth a look...

Get the four burner. I have trouble with a two burner and wanting more space just for cooking for my wife and I. When the parents come in, even more so. In fact, I am mulling over selling my two burner and getting a larger one.

My only other comment is that you have a family of four. But I use this a TON when friends/family come over/stay over. You can make a pile of food quick.

You'll be happy you have the 4 burner when you are making 10 smash burgers and toasting 20 bun halves. Or scrambling a dozen eggs at once and grilling a pile of hash browns.

Never have I once thought "I wish my griddle was smaller", but when I'm camping and using the small blackstone in my RV, I often wish it was bigger.

I actually really like those (temperature setting looks awesome) but they don't sell them at Lowe's, only HD. That would be an extra $300-500 out of my pocket cause of gift cards.

You will not regret the 4 burner.

We have a 2 burner portable one, and LOVE the portability, as we take it camping often. However, I very often wish we had a 4 burner. Especially when cooking with friends.

I have one of the portable one's and it works really well. That being said, I think if I had a full size unit that was on my back porch instead of stuffed into a storage box, I'd probably use it more often. Another thing with the portable unit, is you need to order an adapter hose off of Amazon to be able to use full size bottles, because the little ones go fast.

We have a 30" Blaze Flat Top in our outdoor kitchen and LOVE it. All of our stuff is natural gas. We use the flat top more than the grill and 3 years later have zero buyers remorse.

I went to Ace Hardware to buy a Blackstone and wound up getting a Loco instead. I've only used it a couple of times but I love the thing. Only inconvenience is that you've got to plug it in.

Does it have electric heating elements or does it run on propane? Why the plug?

if you go to Sherman Williams it's a specific color they carry, can't remember what it is sorry. Our painter and SW recommended it, we did approx 1900 sft under roof and no regrets. I thought I wouldn't like the color but my wife insisted and I am glad she did.

It runs on propane. The power is for setting the temperatures across the three zones. I've got covid brain so I won't do a good job of describing it, but there are sensors just below the grill that regulate regulate temps.

Don't apologize. This is the epitome of the OB's greatness. I came here to offer advice on a flattop. And I learned something about pest control and outdoor design that I had never heard of before. It's perfect.

I gave mine away to a coworker after only using it twice in two years. I would much rather grill on the Weber.

I didn't even know they came with air fryers.

"Air fryer runs on propane with an electric fan" so you have to plug it in? Might as well buy a separate air flyer for the kitchen that you can put away.

Use mine quite a bit for smash burgers, breakfast, fajitas and fried rice. It's versatile and gets the job done. Still love my Weber and charcoal grill for steaks and other more grill type cooking.

I have a 22" and it's too small for my family of 5, but I love it after about 3 years with it. If I had room, I'd get a larger one, but I work with what I have.

I haven't had a propane grill in years and would use my Kamado Joe if I needed to grill, and the Blackstone replaced that for most grilling. The only thing I don't cook on it are pork chops because I can't keep them from drying out. I still use my KJ for that.
