Found this one of my Grandmother I'm guessing somewhere near Ranger TX circa ~1946/7. Notice the Shlitz can. As a strict southern Baptist she was not proud of this photo. I think it's my favorite.

My grandma bringing the outdoors into the basement, and her dad shortly before he died. And her with my grandpa when they were dating.

He was about 5' nothing, so take that for reference. Photo has a date stamp of 8/31/87 if I can make it out right. This was in Nova Scotia, Canada. My great aunt lives at this exact site now.

My mother's parents....both born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland.

My grandfather enjoying an afternoon....in a 3 piece suit.

My grandmother camping on their caravan...with pearls and heels.

Based on other similar pictures, I believe they were cycling and stopped for a spot of tea. My grandfather is in his kilt.

My grandfather served in the British Royal Navy during WWII and my grandmother couldn't enlist because she had typhoid fever when she was younger so she volunteered with the hospitals after the bombing raids. After the war my grandfather built the first home my mother was raised in by hand and self taught himself to be an accountant. The greatest generation.

The silver lining of them both passing when I was young was that it was before Crocs. They would have been appalled.

One last one....I know he was outdoors for this one....his ship firing a torpedo, I assume at a German U-Boat

Love those. Born and raised in Victoria, I'm curious what street/house that is. If it's still there, I probably know it.

The notes I had say "in front of the Stoner House" but I'm not sure that is accurate. Need to look again.

At the post office, in his newly issued outfit, right about to get an all expenses paid trip to the trenches of France, compliments of his favorite Uncle (Sam):

Since 1900 the world has exponentially changed though.

Wild to think what 2100 will bring.
