Dang nice deer. G2 split at the end. Kicker on the left. That right beam isn't going to lose much mass.

Ive held off on filling feeders because I had a bunch of machinery work to do around my feeders. Waiting on the rain to stop but I might have to delay until next summer, at this rate.

Man, I've been watching all summer… but I'm just not seeing ANY growth in these boys this year. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.







In reality- I moved back to TX last year. And while I'm sad not to be chasing muleys and elk in the mountains, I was seriously looking forward to running cams and tending to my Dad's ranch in the hill country this year. But sadly, we had 2 catastrophic floods that wiped everything away (including the tractor and implements) about 6 weeks ago. So, our little bit of spare time has been spent fixing fences and figuring out next steps. Hunting this year looks like it's gonna be an afterthought. Might get my oldest son out there to see if we can get him a doe or something. But we lost all feeders and stands- so I'll probably just build a few brush blinds along the creek or something. Sad days ahead for us. Haven't seen many deer since the flood.

we were for a couple weeks but it picked back up. Way less protein consumption overall, which tells me the pasture must be in great shape.

I'm hoping pearsall doesn't get any rain until at least dec
