Staying in AP for work tonight and want good fried shrimp

I don't think any place in Port A is great. I don't like Grumbles, Tortuga, Finns or Trout Street. Seafood and Spaghetti Works is pretty good.

Sorry I read Port A rather than AP. Mickey's is a great place. Their fried soft shell crab sandwich is a treat. I love fried shrimp but when they have the crab I opt for it....

2nd Mickeys in AP

Tonight was especially nice. That little storm that blew through sure cooled it off. I just about gave myself a heatstroke yesterday.

Mickey's is fantastic, definitely eat there. But also do yourself a favor and hit up Pier 77 of Fulton for their fried garlic butter shrimp it is out of this world, it is worth the drive.

Not in AP, but if you happen to be nearby Fulton, there is a restaurant at the small marina called Charlotte Plummer's Seafare Restaurant. We always make it a point to eat there when in the area. Great food and great service. The building is two stories, and we like to eat on the second level for the view.

Old Fulton Cafe in Rockport has the best shrimp around period.

If I'd have seen this earlier, I would have asked tou to check on my boat for me. If it's still floating, you can see it from the restaurant. I haven't been down in 6-8 weeks.

How'd you like Mickey's?

I actually thought of you and the inconceivable while I was there but for some reason I convinced myself that it was in a different town.

I might actually be in the area next week if you want me to check it out.

I thought Mickeys was great. Good service, cold beer, fried shrimp were excellent, jalapeno creamed corn was good, boiled shrimp were decent.

I would hope so. But it's nice to have reassurance with the way my luck is going lately.

Also, I don't see a lot of people around when I am down there, but my slip neighbor does have my number, I think.

More just me being paranoid, but not real badly. If so, I'd just call the marina. But since you can literally see the boat from Mickey's.... ha!

Good news, my son said your boat was floating. He couldn't get close enough to see much but at least it is above water.

Much appreciated! That's one less thing to worry about! Ha!

Thank you! Water looks a little high, but the boat looks good. If I'm lucky, I'll go back down in a couple of weeks and see if I can get anything done.
