Cledus - wondered if I could ask a question. I have a 257 Weatherby and I've been reloading for it for several years.

I'm tryin' to get some 115 grainers to shoot and have gotten pretty good results with RE-25 - but it's temp sensitive and it gets a little too warm in hot weather.

What powder are you using? 3390 is great FPS and what I'm looking for.

I've dropped back a bit to the 92 grain Hammers and they are flat awesome (right at 3590 fps) - but I want a 115 load. Just haven't been able to get a consistent load.

I'd appreciate any help - looks like you've got a real winner with the Accuguard / Scope combo - GLWS !

Barnes 115tsx @3.245" with 67.5gr RL-22, GM215m primer

I use to run 69.5gr which was 3,471fps, but when out in Rocksprings during the summer and chasing axis I got heavy bolt lift and very flattened primers. So I backed off a bit and haven't had any problems with pressure signs or temp sensitivity. I have used that load from 105 in west Texas to 30 in central Texas and then in the 40's in the high plateaus of Northern New Mexico @ 9,000' of altitude.

I will add all loads and testing done was with a SiCo Hybrid on the rifle!

I had the same issue with IMR 7828 in some loads on 120 Partitions, and got heavy bolt lift as well.

I ended up using 110 AccuBonds with H-1000 - used it in West Texas - the Hill Country, & in Central N Mexico.

Muleys & whitetail never knew what hit 'em and never went more than a few yards.

If you're willing to part with the ammo and brass, I'd be interested in them. I recently acquired my own 257 WB mag and plan on loading for it. I would plan on unloading the loaded rounds and loading for my rifle, so I'm not worried about them being too hot for a different rifle than yours.

I'd have to have some one that bought the rifle before I'd sell the brass and dies separate .
