After spending the day in Anchorage yesterday we flew to King Salmon earlier today and arrived in King Salmon. We're just taking it easy this afternoon and will begin fishing tomorrow. We hope the weather cooperates so we can do at least one fly out while we're here. Here's a few pics.

The Naknek River

Up and at 'em this morning about to head out for the day. Here's a pic of the NRC Armada.

Our first morning on the Naknek was pretty good.

Some fish pics. 4 or 5 in the 20-22" range and one 26".

A tougher day today. A front moved through last night and fishing was tough. We both caught couple first thing this morning but that was it. Others in our group, same thing. Here's a few pics anyway.

Fall leaves in Alaska

We're headed to Brooks Falls this morning. Look for some fat bear pics this evening.

Went to Brooks Falls yesterday. Melissa tore it up catching 10 20" plus. I caught several in that range but lost some nice fish trying to horse them in. A learning experience.

We did a fly out to the Kulik River yesterday. Lots of bears and big fat rainbows. Today we'll be back fishing at Brooks.

Brooks was good today but yesterday at the Kulik River was a tough act to follow. Most of the fish caught at Brooks were in the 20"+/- range.

Here's my offering for today.

Today was our last day here. Tomorrow morning we'll catch our flight back to Anchorage and then on home to Atlanta.

After we get home I'll post some final thoughts about our trip and gear review.
