Buying my son a new Shotgun for dove and duck.

Preferably a semiautomatic and 12 gauge.

Don't want to break the bank. Trying to stay under $600 if possible.

Bought a Yildiz over/under for my girl, cut to fit her, and added a kick-eez. She says it is very comfortable. Bought a Stoeger for her 75 year old mom. Inertia system, but still low recoil. She shoots it a lot with no issues. Both are "budget" level and both are very nice.

The weatherby element is great and right at your price mark

Weatherby element, beretta a300 and Winchester sx4 are good options. They start around $800. Haven't looked at them this year so dont know the current new shotgun market so I may be a little low now. If it were me I'd be looking at the beretta or Winchester. They are both gas operated and generally gas operated guns are a little softer shooting than an inertia gun like the Weatherby. I have the beretta a300 and really like it. A co worker has the Weatherby element and really likes it.

Yildiz 20 gauge. I bought one for my child. And it became my favorite shotgun. So light.
They paid for their wars with your tax dollars and also with your untaxed dollars. Inflation is theft.

I bought Benelli Nova for my kids for waterfowl. If it survives great, but if it falls in the water it's no great loss.

I just bought one for my son. We shot it this weekend. Pretty slick gun for the price. I got the compact with a 24" barrel and 1" shorter LOP. It's perfect.

Yes. I think I got the youth model. It caries like a 28 gauge.
