I had some St. Aug fungus over year ago that I have had treated for the past year and a half by a lawn service. The rest of the lawn has looked great all summer, especially since it has been a relatively mild one with some rain. The last few weeks being near 100 has gotten things a bit weathered, but things still look good heading into cooler weather.

Ever since the problem spot was re-sodded, the grass just has never come in looking great. The spot just looks dry, wilted and unhealthy. Is this spot gonna remain perpetually unhealthy - I just don't get it. After the re-sod, a year ago, it came back in great, but now it looks like this:

I had a similar recurring problem, about 100 sq ft, and after replacing the grass a couple times, they finally removed 6-8" of topsoil and brought in good dirt and the problem was solved. Probably construction contamination issue if it is otherwise draining properly.

been here 13 years with no issue until a little over a year ago. Property got some fungus spots, this was one of them - other spots doing same thing. Strange.

hard to tell but does just look dry. We're in humble with st augustine and we've had 1 good rain in the last 6-7 weeks so it doesn't take much for grass to look dry.

also, I've replaced sod in my yard here and there over the years. When I do I always take away a couple of inches and put down a layer of some of the "good" soil in the bags at home depot. Its not the regular topsoil but a bag of Scotts brand or something like that. Really gives the grass and roots a great base and helps it come back quicker and better
you could always top dress it with that stuff and see if it helps
