Wife was contacted today since we foster/rescue… a friend's mom has been in the hospital, and they need to find a new loving home for her beautiful German Shepherd, Xena. She is 7 years old, spayed, lives indoors and is potty trained with access to a doggy door. She gets along with another little dog and is not known to show aggression to other dogs. Xena has never been around chickens, but doesn't bother the outdoor cat. Our friend's female dog isn't taking to her, or she would keep her. We would love her, but are maxed out with 6 large indoor dogs. So we are reaching out to see if anyone here has a spot in their loving home for her. We will be contacting rescues too, but we all know what shelters and rescues are maxed out. She's in the greater San Antonio area.

Would take her in a heart beat but we are going through some stuff at the house right now and can't take care of a dog like we should. We keep our eyes out for a dog to replace the old girl we lost in June. Putting it in God's hands. Right dog at the right time. A 7 year old female is the right dog. It just isn't the right time.

My wife contacted her good friend that owns a ranch between Giddings and Bastrop. She is a dog person for sure as she has like 8-9. We sent her the pic and info. She was going to see what she can do to help find her a good home.
