Anyone have experience w these cameras? My cell service is w Verizon and it is unclear if Verizon's service and SIM cards are compatible w ReoLink cameras.

Thanks.

Just installed the Reolink system today with 4 wired cameras. So far so good. Still need to set up app. We have AT&T

I use their SIM card cameras for game cameras. Everyone on our lease does. Then we all share a cloud account. We can all see each others stuff, in chronological order.

So far, zero issues.

I assume you also have a data only plan w Verizon? Do you recall your monthly charge?

We use them on our entry gates at our work locations…We have Verizon internet and land lines at these sites. No idea what the monthly charges are as accounts payable gets the billing.

I have the Reolink TrackMix cellular camera and it's been a great camera so far. I bought a SIM card from Mint Mobile and unlimited plan for $20 a month. I have friends that have multiple Rangers and they love them.

Looks like Mint has unlimited plans for $15 a month for 12 months if you pay up front. I tried to go the virtual SIM route, but Reolink couldn't figure it out. Just get a physical SIM and it's as easy as inserting the card and turning it on.

Thanks for the reply's but pardon my ignorance.

1). You have to have a SIM card - correct.

2) you have to have cellular plan w a carrier - correct

So do you have cellular service w Mint and also a SIM card from them?

Thanks.

We use them for job site security cameras. We use Tmobile SIMs, but don't know why a Verizon wouldn't work as long as Verizon has service where you are wanting to put them.

Yes, it's a cellular plan with Mint mobile. If you have an unlocked phone with a SIM card slot, you can take the SIM card and put it in the phone and you will have cell service. They issue you a number with the card when you get it. In this case, you are putting it in a camera instead of a phone.

I went this route because it was the cheapest option I could find at the time since I wasn't sure how much data I would use. On average, I use about 3GB of data a month. Several of my friends I hunt with have access to the camera. Once you get the camera turned on and connected to your app, you can share a QR code with anyone that has the app and they can view the camera as well if you allow it.

The EIOT website above allows you to buy a sim and preload it with a set amount of data transfer per year. At the end of the year or the end of the data, whichever comes first, you can recharge the sim remotely. Preventing you from having to go out there and swap SIM cards. Obviously the larger GB per year gets you a better "per month" fee.

I've currently used 10 gb of my allotted 24gb with it set to expire in mid December.

Use Reolink PTZ cell cams with EIOT data cards. Works perfectly
