Need 4 cameras around a house and barn for security/surveillance due to some recent events related to trespassing.

We have electricity but no WiFi at this location.

Is Spypoint or Moultrie Edge my best bet for balance of value and reliability? Any leads on good deals for buying multiple cameras? I need to get them pretty quick, so I can't really wait for Black Friday sales.

I think Tactacam is going to be the preferred cell cam by most of the posters on this board.

My question would be what are you trying to accomplish with your cell cams? You say surveillance but do you mean you want to have video access and on-demand viewing? I know some of the newer models have this option but am not sure which.

If you're looking for just a camera and all of these will be placed in close proximity, I would recommend the Cuddeback Cell cameras. Mostly because you can have one cell plane and run as many cameras as you want off of it, assuming they're all in somewhat close proximity. I have cameras 0.5 miles away from another that connect but line of sight and things like trees/hills are going to diminish the range.

Just watched YouTube video on Lake Fork Guy's channel. He was using some trail cams with cell service and no wifi. Brand was Stealth Cam and he provided a checkout code for 20% off. No details on data plan but you can set that up on your own.

I like Stealth Cam. They have a two pack on sale on Amazon for around $110 I think (Fusion X Pro).

Works great with cellular data, can see all cameras pics on one app.

We run these video cameras on feeders and I have one on ranch house - $30 with coupon and monthly subscription is around $20 - live video feed and records video with trigger

I'm a fan of Moultrie Edge as well. Been running them 24/7 for a few years now. Bought their rechargeable battery packs and they'll last about six months before they need an overnight recharge. Moultrie's app is pretty good, too.

Personally I won't buy SpyPoint again. Too many issues from randomly not getting a signal to water intrusion after heavy rain.

I bought a tactacam reveal and put it out in a field where my AT&T phone has questionable coverage and it works great. I'm a fan and like the app ok.

Tactacam makes a security camera that works like a hunting camera but you can access it via a live mode.

Tactacam Defend is the way to go if you're looking for wireless cell signal security camera.

This is the way. I have a Verizon cube which costs 35 month. Powers all my cameras.

I use the Wyze cams. They are ok, low cost, no monthly fee if u use the basic service. Pick a brand and go with it.

I'm looking to put some trail cameras out at a place we just got. A google search says the Edge Pro 3 is an upgrade over the Edge Pro 2 that is worth the extra money.
Any opinions?

Look at the AnRan 360 cameras. Friend recommended to me. Only about $60. We have one in a relatively shady spot, and it's been doing fine with the solar panel for the better part of a year. You can pan it with your phone. Has two-way talk, night vision, great video, and app only takes a couple minutes to set up/get going. Incredibly impressed for the price.

Starlink mini is on sale for $299 right now. The $5/month low speed standby plan might be enough data to run some regular security cameras. Price difference is probably getting close at that rate, and then you'd have wifi at that location.

Sale is $229 now. But I don't think the $5 per month plan exists anymore.
